SPF is your BFF

The scariest result of too much sun exposure is skin cancer hence, why it is so important to take sun protection seriously. Try use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply throughout the day, especially when swimming. Go for a sunscreen that does not have oxybenzone (which studies have shown is also damaging to sea urchin, fish, and mammals) and other threatening chemicals.

Hydration is key
